The Constitution of the Confederate Democratic-Republic of the People's Parliament
We the People, of a Unified Galaxy, who have lived a history of oppression, sadness, violence, and corruption, now establish ourselves anew, liberated, joyful, peaceful, and righteous. Let this document be self-evident that we have accomplished such, through the establishment of this New Constitution, of the People's Parliament.
Article One. The Separation of Power.
Article One, Section One. The Executive Branch.
The Executive Branch, established by this Supreme Law of our Land, shall no longer be run by a Council, but rather, by the Prime Minister, the henceforth established Head-of-State. They shall be charged with the enforcement of the Laws established by the Legislative and Judicial bodies of the Government.
The Prime Minister shall be charged with the Enforcement and Execution of Our Laws. Such grants them the following powers:
- The Prime Minister is to be the Commander-in-chief of the Parliamentarian Armed Forces
- The Prime Minister signs Bills created by the Congress of the People's Parliament into Law
- The Prime Minister is granted the authority to veto bills created by the Congress of the People's Parliament
- The Prime Minister has the Power to appoint Judges to be part of the Ministry of Justice
- The Prime Minister has the power to exile Parliamentarians with the approval of the Ministry of Justice
- The Prime Minister is granted the Power to create Ministries, in order to ensure an efficacious government
- The Prime Minister serves a term of 4 years, and can serve an unlimited amount of terms
Article One, Section Two. The Legislative Branch.
The Legislative Branch, as henceforth established by this Supreme Law of the Land, shall be a unicameral Senate, consisted of one Senator per planet/power/nation/faction/etc. They will be charged with the creation of Laws of which will be used to govern the People's Parliament. This Legislative Body shall be granted the Power to Create Laws. Such grants them the following powers:
- The Senate is to be the sole creator of Legislation and Bills
- The Senate shall create Bills, in order for them to be ratified, they must be approved by two-thirds Majority Vote of the Senate.
- Should a Law be vetoed by the Prime Minister, in order for it to become ratified into Law, it must be approved by three-fourths Majority of the Senate.
- The Senate is granted the power to impeach Members of the Ministry of Justice and is also granted the Power to Impeach the Prime Minister.
- The Senate is granted the power to levy war
- Members of the Senate hold office for a term of 2 years, and can serve an unlimited amount of terms.
Article One, Section Three. The Judicial Branch.
The Judicial Branch shall be consisted of a Ministry of Justice, a group of judges (of which must be an odd-number) who are charged with the Interpretation of the Laws, all of which who are appointed by the Prime Minister. They are solely charged with the Interpretation of Laws, of which grants them the following powers:
- The Ministry of Justice is solely charged with Interpreting the Constitution
- The Ministry of Justice has the final say in the interpretation of Laws, including this Constitution
- The Ministry of Justice has the power to grant exile to Parliamentarian Citizens in cooperation with the Prime Minister
- The Ministry of Justice has the Power to Declare Laws Passed by Congress Unconstitutional, of which will result in the immediate nullification of said law
- Members of the Ministry of Justice are Members for Life, or until they Retire.
Article Two. The Powers and Rights of the Parliamentarian People.
Article Two, Section One. The Amendments.
I) The People of the Parliament are granted the Sovereign Rights to the Freedom of Speech, the Freedom of Assembly, the Freedom of Religion, the Freedom of Press, and the Freedom to Petition the Government Against Audacities and Atrocities.
II) Every Parliamentarian is granted the Sovereign Right to Live, Survive, and Thrive.
